Pieter Boels
Typo/graphic artist & designer
During the trajectory, I woke up the CEO, Pieter (@pieterboels), as he has been the art director of his company for 12 years. Things were going well, but not the way he wanted. We discovered roadblocks that were preventing him from moving forward.
Self-promotion and financial growth
We realised Pieter didn’t need to choose between his diverse interests. He could pursue design projects, create personal artwork, paint murals, personalise cars, and give talks. To break his financial cycle, Pieter embraced self-marketing, particularly on LinkedIn.
Establishing structure and balance
Given Pieter’s difficulties to concentrate, we devised a daily routine:
* Morning routine: Check emails, decide on tasks, respond with schedules, and organise the day in his calendar.
* Focused work blocks: Dedicate longer time blocks to complete specific client work.
* Work-life balance: Exercise on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and no work in the studio during evenings.
Outreach and collaboration
We identified companies Pieter wished to collaborate with and devised strategies to approach them. He adopted a new mantra to guide his work selection.
Pieter reflected on his journey, stating:
“My brain is still easily overstimulated. But thanks to your tips, I intervene more quickly and effectively. My approach to commercial work has improved, and I find joy in prospecting, even though it’s still a work in progress. Artistically, I feel stronger and present myself more clearly.”
Fun fact: Every time I saw Pieter's stickers around Antwerp, I couldn't help but imagine coaching him. So, when he took an Instagram break in May 2023, I took a shot with an email saying, "Need some help?" Now, spotting his stickers in the city feels even cooler. 😎☺️
