Karel
Travel photographer

Karel, a dedicated travel photographer (karelsaelaert.be), came to coaching with a clear ambition: organising his own photo exhibition. He had the ideas, but kept struggling to actually get started. Here's how we made it happen:

Turning ideas into a plan

Karel had plenty of inspiration, but every time it came to execution, the project got postponed again. Together we built a clear visual timeline, breaking the exhibition down into realistic, manageable tasks — tasks that fit around his day job instead of competing with it.

Structure and accountability

We set concrete deadlines and scheduled regular follow-up check-ins, so momentum never got the chance to stall. This structure gave Karel the focus to move from "someday" to "in progress": his photo pre-selection was finished, and the visual display of his work in the studio took shape.

From plan to promotion

With the groundwork in place, we set up a promotional campaign across social media and had posters printed and distributed locally — making sure the exhibition reached the right audience before opening weekend.

Results

The exhibition weekend was a success, with sales on-site and it didn't stop there. Karel has since been invited to exhibit his work in several other cities.
