Axelle Rose Zwartjes
Visual artist
Axelle Rose's (@axellerosezwartjes) dream was to build a career as a full-time illustrator, from designing children's books to collaborating with big brands & companies. But paralysing self-doubt held her back. She sought help in three crucial areas:
1. Crafting a compelling sales method that matched her unique style and strengths.
2. Revamping her brand image and website to match her artistic essence.
3. Developing effective budgeting and future planning skills.
We discovered the elements that defined Axelle's signature style - fashion, colour, aesthetics, subtlety, humour, and feel-good vibes. These became the cornerstones of her engaging sales pitch.
The battle against self-doubt was challenging, but Axelle emerged victorious. Together, we turned her inner critic into a source of motivation and encouraged a healthy self-doubt that pushed her beyond her comfort zone.
Balancing a life with two young children and a home-based business required structure. We devised a strategy to cluster tasks and created a visual diary with post-it notes.
Axelle has many ideas she wants to send out into the world. She was already testing personalised name stickers for her own children. In session three, we decided to go further and promote this product to a wider audience. Axelle began the process from product development to a sales strategy. Stickaround, with its unique font (no Comic Sans in sight!), became an instant success.
Axelle went from doubting her ability to make money as a visual artist to embracing her talents. Her renewed confidence sparked her passion for entrepreneurship again.
